TRIP ORGANIZERS - JIM and KEITH SOMERS

Unlimited Getaways began in 1987 when Jim & Keith Somers started organizing weekend ski trips for small groups of friends, relatives, and neighbors. In those days everyone drove separately and met at the mountain and most of the trips took place in New England. Today, Jim and Keith offer several trips a year , handle arrangements for hundreds of people and travel to locations in Europe, Canada, and the Western United States. Over the years Jim and Keith have also expanded their trips to include cruises, white water rafting and a variety of day excursions. Keith, a partner at Summit Financial Management and Jim, a vice-president at People’s Bank, continue to share their love of travel and the appreciation of receiving true value for all. They take a great deal of pride in personally ensuring that every one of their clients has an unforgettable experience. Anyone can plan a trip, but only through Unlimited Getaways will you benefit from the experience and caring that Jim and Keith bring to every vacation that they offer.

"I got started in 1985.  An old friend of mine put a ski trip together to Vermont.  It was a disaster!  They all took separate cars on their trip there.  There were accidents, speeding tickets, and it was totally disorganized.  So I decided that It would be easier renting a bus so that people can enjoy the ride and refreshments on the way.  I then encouraged my son to run the ski club while in high school so he can put together a weekend trip to Vermont.  It went great.  We kept doing it on a yearly basis.  Friends told other friends about how good of a time they had and we signed up more and more people every year.  It just kept snowballing into a bigger, better thing.“ - Jim Somers, Unlimited Getaways Founder
